How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

  • Minimum age: 18 years old

  • Requirements:

    • Client’s government issued photo ID

    • It is illegal in the state of Georgia to tattoo a minor under the age of 18, and we do not tattoo minors under any circumstances, even with parental consent

Do you take walk-ins?

We take walk-ins for tattoos on a first-come first-serve basis when available. If we can’t tattoo you as a walk-in we would love to set up an appointment!

Can I bring someone with me?

Of course! Bringing a trusted friend or family member can help ease nerves. We ask for guests to respect the studio environment by keeping noise levels low and avoiding unnecessary distractions.

What styles of tattoos do you do?

We have several artists who have their own variety of styles making us a very diverse shop.

Some styles that we do but are not limited to are: Traditional, Neo Traditional, New School, Illustrative, Anime, Black and Grey, Fineline, Color, Geometric/Mandala, Glitter Tattoos, Portraits, Realism, Blackwork and we love doing custom work!

Can I bring my own design?

Absolutely! We love working with custom designs. You can bring in a reference or collaborate with one of our talented artists to create a unique piece that’s perfect for you.

Do you do coverups?

Yes we do! Cover-ups are usually done as an appointment and one of our artists will do a consultation with you to see the existing tattoo and what piece will work best.

Is a deposit required?

Yes, we have different values of deposits depending on the tattoo and artist you schedule with.

How much does a tattoo cost?

The cost depends on the size, detail, and placement of your tattoo. At Atomic Valkyrie we have a shop minimum, and larger or more intricate designs are priced hourly or as a flat rate. Contact us for a consultation to get an accurate estimate for your specific design.

Do tattoos hurt?

How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?

  • Eat a full meal and stay hydrated before your appointment.

  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications at least 24-hours before.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed.

  • Bring a valid government issued photo ID (you must be 18+ to get tattooed)

  • Be well-rested and ready for the experience!

Can I get a tattoo if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

No, you cannot get a tattoo while pregnant or breastfeeding. Your body is more susceptible to infections, and there is a small risk of ink or bacteria affecting your health or your baby’s.
